FOUNDER
Andy Hakopian graduated with a B.S. in Computer Information Systems from Weber State University in 1990 and started his career in the corporate IT world. He has held positions as Programmer Analyst, Systems Architect, Project Manager, Network Support Engineer, Network Operations Manager, and Data Center Operations Manager prior to founding Netsmart Systems.
The ever-changing and advancing IT world required him to continue his education and to obtain much needed and demanding professional certificates such as Novell CNE, Microsoft MCSE, Cisco CCNA, ISC SSCP.
Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Countrywide Mortgage, The Walt Disney Company, Compuware, and Sempra Energy are the companies where he gained a lot of valuable knowledge and expertise to develop his skills set to bring to his clients. He created Netsmart Systems as a sole proprietor side business in 2000, providing computer sales and support as well as network design and installation, while working full time in the corporate world. Then as his client base grew and a wonderful opportunity presented itself to provide exclusive support for his first client full time, he resigned from his last corporate position to solely focus on building his own corporate client list. With continued success and a growth plan, he incorporated the business in 2007 and continued to add additional products and services needed to fully manage the entire IT operation of his clients business. The following highlights a timeline for the start of the company to the present.
- 2000 – Netsmart Systems was created, offering Computer Sales & Repairs and Network Design & Installation.
- 2005 – Netsmart Systems opened it first Office.
- 2007 – Netsmart Systems, Inc. was incorporated.
- 2010 – Netsmart Systems moved to its second office location.
- 2010 – Netsmart Systems started designing & building its brand of Server and Desktop computers.
- 2011 – Netsmart Systems added Cloud Computing and Data Backup & Recovery to its list of services.
- 2011 – Netsmart Systems added EMR Software & Hardware to its list of services.
- 2012 – Netsmart Systems added Structured Data Cabling to its list of services.
- 2012 – Netsmart Systems added Website Design & Hosting and Domain Registration to its list of services.
- 2013 – Netsmart Systems added PBX Telecom to its list of services.
- 2014 – Netsmart Systems moved to its third office location.
- 2014 – Netsmart Systems added Video Surveillance and Entry Access to its list of services.
- 2016 – Netsmart Systems added Unified Communications with Hosted PBX & VoIP Phones to its list of services.
- 2020 – Netsmart Systems assisted clients and prospects the ability to Work From Home with all Remote Communications services.
- 2021 – Netsmart Systems moved to its fourth office location.
- 2022 – Netsmart Systems adopted the MSP (Managed Services Provider) IT support model as its core offering to its clients.
- 2023 – Netsmart Systems developed and added a triple-layer CyberSecurity stack to its list of services.
TEAM
The Netsmart team consists of its Founder who manages the daily operations of the business and is responsible for all initial client acquisition, infrastructure design & development, business growth, financials, and talent recruitment. A Network Engineer assists in managing and supporting the Network installations and computers management. A Telecom Engineer assists in managing and supporting the VoIP & Analog phone systems and services. A Software Engineer assists in developing all the Websites and Online Applications. An Office Admin manages marketing, billing, and general administrative tasks.
